Canmore, just like Tofino, has a problem with people who work in the community expecting that they somehow deserve to have a place to live. Who told them to come here? Why not just shut down all the businesses that employ them, and have Dorothy introduce a motion to ban any future businesses from opening? That would fix it! No businesses, no jobs, no employees, no need for housing, no strain on the water and sewer infrastructure. Sure, some people might complain about it, but so what, let them complain. Mayor and council are not bound to listen to the electorate, they can act as they please. Close all the businesses down, plant some trees, make Tofino once again like it used to be in the good old days.
