ST JEROME, Que. -- On the anniversary of Jack Layton's death, NDP Leader Tom Mulcair promised to run a positive campaign despite attacks from his rivals that he called a sign of desperation.
"We will stay the course with a very positive campaign, and we will talk about what we can accomplish together, and we'll leave the attacks to others," Mulcair said Saturday while attending a campaign event in St. Jerome, northwest of Montreal.

Mulcair is turning into Harper. No passion. Lame insults. And once again, the NDP will do everything they can to split the vote and usher in another Conservative Government.

Ed Broadbent, the elder statesman of the federal New Democrats, has come out swinging against leadership race front-runner Thomas Mulcair and his plans to modernize the party.
“I want the party to remain a left-of-centre party,” the former federal NDP leader told the Star in an interview Thursday. “That is how it finally built up. It got support in Saskatchewan and Manitoba and British Columbia and Nova Scotia and Ontario and now a breakthrough in Quebec by remaining true to its core principles, not by becoming a Liberal party.” Mulharper is right !
