The District of Tofino v Maria Lange court case

I don't have all the details of this case yet so please correct me if I am mistaken.Maria Lange had a water leak on her property that was unable to be repaired immediately.The District of Tofino was asked to shut off the water to the property.The water wasn't shut off and continued to run, resulting in a large water bill for the property owner.The bill was just under 2000 dollars.Several Tofinonews sources said that both the Mayor and the Chief Administrative Officer traveled to Port Alberni for the case and were unable to settle.I'll try to get documents from the court tomorrow but please write in if you have more info....thanks,Ralph
