The following resolutions were passed at yesterday’s Council Meeting:
• That Council approves that the Water Capital Levy be discontinued and be replaced by a Property Value Tax Levy to be used for both water and sewer capital repairs, maintenance and improvements.
• And that the Property Value Tax Levy not exceed $485,000 in a year
• And that the Property Value Tax Levy only be charged if an approved Water and Sewer Infrastructure Plan is in place
• That Council approves the discontinuance of the Capital Levy at the beginning of Quarter 3 and for administration to begin preparing to implement the Property Value Tax Levy in 2012
