Today is a good preview of millions of cars in Tofino and we probably can't wait to just watch what happens when the Robbins parking crew fires up 1 August. Should be a good one to watch out of the Beach. maybe charter the electric bus for a good ringside seat. bring beer.
And popcorn. Mayor Dan thinks the parking should be open at night so folks can see the "opalescence" in the night time water. Brilliant idea. Most illuminating. For a small parking fee you can stay all night. Place will be over run with campers, squatters, and nocturnal you name it.
My mistake, Mayor Dan was actually renaming the parking lot the "OPALESCENCE INN" not ..... You get it now. Maybe Dan should rethink that idea. He means well though.
there is no parking problem. The problem is with Toruism Tofino continuing to cram more people into a small space. Then when there is an issue they look the other way. Wonder how long it will take our elected officials to figure this out . Is it not time to disband them and use that same money to fix some of the problems they have created. Kinda strange how profits for some create so much degradation of the environment, noise, congestion and pollution for so many others to deal with.

We could have done this rollout correctly...instead we did it fast and wrong in so many ways. DOT and council need a sober second look.
