This place would make an excellent temporary campground, until a decision is reached on some type of permanent use. That would be a positive step toward supplying some affordable housing.

No it would not. It would turn into a homeless camp like Victoria had with a huge clean up cost at the end of it. That is not a use for public parkland.

That's a great idea 3:21! Could have a pipe running out over the cliff from the outhouse, dumping directly into the ocean......just like the rest of Tofino!

Obviously the District is understaffed. Let's hire a Monks Property Coordinator who can hire a consultant to study the situation.

People, your expectations of staff/Council are greatly out of proportion. Staff are mostly unqualified to perform their jobs and Council has done nothing for 20 years and the current leader of the pact is busy on Facebook/twitter and her botanical gardens.

lower your expectations and expect nothing from them..... you will then be satisfied

Could be a wonderful location for affordable housing, just a couple of minutes into town, or better yet, why not the seniors care facility that VIHA keeps stone walling on the hospital property. That would serve the community very well in my opinion.....
