Lets just remove all the rules turn Tofino back into a surfing town.... a real community. I know the home owners house values will go down, but we will be better for it. Tofino will be more real.
It has been established that the total amount of dollars that the DoT gave the Corporation that is the THC was in the neighborhood of $500k. This is a reality and can be found in the Tofino financial statements. If you have some proof that is was more or less take the time like Ralph has to lay it out for us....
would be nice if there was some clarity/transparency on what was spent, where it came from , what it was spent on -- it is possible that there is a logical rationale and explanation for the funds that were expended but would be appropriate to make any planning documents, surveys and associated costs more public-- If council struck the housing committee did they approve of the expenditures and do they have a clear ledger of same ...seems to be some frustration and negativity in the village re the Housing committee that the council disbanded and the rumored expenses ... might be an idea to clear this up prior to any future work in the area of affordable housing ..

It sounds like you have put a lot of energy into your house as an investment. We both know that houses have traditionally been great investments but there is no guarantee. The Shore, I am guessing are renting out the place when it is not in use to create some revenue. I am also guessing they bought it knowing that it can not be nightly rentals or maybe they were told otherwise.....
Lets stay on topic, it makes it a lot more fun then slagging individuals, their beliefs or opinions...

the figure you quote of $500k is a lie. if someone can produce finacial figures that show in black and white any numbers this is a lie.
