speaking of illegal accommodation apps, we want the taxes back we paid for a number of alleged non-profit years. or were supposed to suck it up like the million or so we gave the big resorts? here...drink the kool-aid...shhh
we are talking about progressives here. Careful what you say. They are morally superior to the rest of us sweat hogs, or didn't you know, you racsist, sexist, homophobe.....etc.
If somebody can dodge taxes and pocket a few extra bucks more power to them. Why pay commercial property tax if you don't have to ?? It's just one of the many perks of being on council.
Many readers have asked me to post the P1A zoning. I have checked with district staff and it continues to disallow Tourist Commercial Accommodation. The only property in the District of Tofino zoned P1A is 1084 Pacific Rim Highway. It should be noted that while the entire property is zoned P1A only the garden portion of the property was exempted from property tax in past years.

Please enlighten me if I understand this right: Our own mayor and/or her partner are operating an allegedly illegal vacation rental on land that is not zoned for it???????????? Of course just about everyone else is doing more or less the same thing and that is probably the reason why nobody wants to get involved and organized to fight back.

What's happening to Tofino's supposed crackdown on vacation rentals? Have they done anything about the zoning infractions at the Ecolodge yet?
That's considered to be "harsh language". If you talk about any of that stuff, you'll be thrown out. Drink your kool-aid. Shut up.
The Clintons continue to operate with complete immunity. Rules only apply to others.

This is interesting, what are the suggested zoning infractions at the Ecolodge?
