On one hand the district is telling us to conserve water but on the other hand this tank behind Industrial Way has been leaking for a year.Must be waiting for a consultant's report.

Why don't they fix it ?

It's not getting fixed because no one knows what to do besides to hire consultants.
in this case it's a catch 22 because something actually has to be done. soon.

If anyone is wondering why nothing gets done the more bureaucracy there is leaves no one to blame. hire more consultants so there is no responsibility for getting things done or knowing how to do them.
if important things aren't being done now it's not because we don't have enough staff or consultants already. it seems like no one knows where to begin.

When they fired Sally it didn't create any more work because her replacement was already arranged. If any staff are dismissed it creates work for other staff. The hiring process is overwhelming . Think of the work load: placing ads, job description, interview process.Or, could just hire a head hunter or personell consultant. Stress leave ahead !!

I know it is a small leak at this time but the optics are poor and a small leak eventually caused the failure of the previous tank .

It's the blog that's leaking not a water tank with 1,000,000 gallons in it...

Beg to differ 6.15pm. While Sally"s replacement might have already been pre arranged, there was the wrangling of the settlement (lawyers, staff time), the damage control, the set up of the "new" position, which took months. Then there was the undercover, black market training of the said replacement, on our tax dime, that took place so said replacement could meet the crafted job description. And then, same job description went to public, and a hiring process took place, all so things look glossy and straight up, meanwhile, we've already spent our money gliding this "replacement" into the newly created position, and wasted staff time on a number of interviews.. Corruption at its finest. Apparently the same person that did the interviews also fired Sally and made the water meter mistakes. Corruption and ineptness... to say the least.

Sally here. My take is that Nyla was just a witness to my dismissal. I don't think it was easy for her either.....

So you are saying Nyla made the water meter mistakes!
