once the hourglass up and running invisibly in the background everyone forgets that's the Way the administration functions. Years go by.
Perfect. The mayor and the administrator decide which titbits to feed into the narrow part that sprinkles whatever into the city Council's and Public's consciousness. Not much really... Budget deliberations, tree removal by laws, Grant applications, letters of support to any and all benign organizations, MUP developments,RMI projects, and affordable housing.
This last one floats mysteriously into the consciousness with the new expeditor driving the cloud.
No one bothered to ask how this expeditor got here, was there an RFP?
No he came through the hourglass in the grains of sand the administrator dropped carefully into the lower part.
No one really saw that the expeditor came from an associate organization of the mayors and catalyst which would appear to be blatant cronyism.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars and three or four years later we are burdened with the so-called expeditor who had to take that time to educate himself about the community and affordable housing, items that had already been determined long ago by the affordable housing committee before the hourglass.
This hourglass is great. No one has to answer ethical questions like cronyism, conflicts of interest, Errors in judgement, or why the district is spending thousands and thousands unnecessarily.

Amen 10:40 nothing to see here, "we are too far along to stop now" All the while adding to the fiscal dumpster fire that is DOT. Affordable housing 500K? Gateway was around 300K/unit and no public funds used many beneficiaries. Take a look council...stick with your expertise :)
Josie got elected you did your job and got rid of the most fiscally damaging Mayor we ever had. now bad this very bad idea please.
