God bless Gord Johns

Gordo sweeps to victory with 38% of votes cast, and the support of a whopping 29% of registered electors. Gordo, a long time proponent of "proportional representation" is totally embarrassed by his paltry showing. An NDP spokesperson indicated Mr. Johns, who is currently indisposed, is expected, as a man of deep held beliefs to offer his resignation soon.... very soon.... the moment he gets his lifetime gov't pension.

hey Ralph - thanks for being the lightning rod during the election. It was most insightful

We are now represented by an MP from an obsolete party. The eco-weenies can put their Green Party stickers over their NDP stickers. Many true Green Party members expressed their dismay with strategic voting. In any case , I can listen to CBC without being disturbed by F35s overhead.

43,124 voters said hell no to Gordo. It was purely a vote against Harper that gave him the votes he got .

Not entirely in agreement. He had a pretty good campaign team . I even saw his signs in Ahousaht.

No voter could support this:

It's great to see the Harper Conservative supporters still trying to win something, or at least be right about something......when the game is over. We may perhaps be represented by slow, inept, and lazy...... but that's a lot better than what we had: evil, criminal and racist.

Congratulations to Gord Johns! Great to see the NDP defeat John Duncan and punish the Harper Conservatives for closing needed Coast Guard stations and other wrongheaded decisions.

Hmmmm slow, inept and lazy? Are you being generous in your description?

typically not bothered by facts - the Canadian involvement with the F35 started at the outset of the program (mid 90's) when Liberals were in power

I voted NDP sorry...I didn't vote for Gord Ford the Village idiot I voted against tyranny. A story nationally lost on the giddy Liberal PR firm known as the CBC.
Stay tuned Gord will screw up just a matter of time. His past conduct is proof of his capacity to do any job. Enjoy the raise GJ.
PS There are many conservatives who didn't want Harper in power.
