Everybody knows Filipinos are better workers. Not drunks or crackheads.

It is incredibly difficult to get good employees.Entry level jobs hold little appeal for most people.I notice the co-op doesn't require temporary foreign workers. Seems to be the resorts with the highest rates that participate in this shameful practice . If they paid housekeepers a little bit more they could hire locally.

One would hope that Filipinos were better workers - there is a group of them that offer their services on a part time basis at $20 - $25 per hour CASH ONLY - and no, they are not all better workers.

There are Temporary Foreign Workers from many countries working in Tofino.
Canada has agreements with Australia and other countries for "working holiday" employment that allows for young Canadians to work in Australia and vice versa.
