Westerly News reports that Tofino Pharmacy is raffling off a bicycle in order to raise funds to save the firehall. The District of Tofino has allowed the firehall to fall into a state of disrepair......The bicycle can be seen at The Tofino Pharmacy...
Sources have told Tofinonews that the raffle is going to be expanded to provide some portable washrooms at the school ball fields.
All of this is great but it makes me wonder why we pay taxes if citizens have to take it upon themselves to maintain the District ??
Millions of dollars in the District accounts and we need a fundraiser for a porta-pottie at the school ? Please inform your councilors how you feel about the way they are running our village......
ps. still no washroom at North Chestermans parking lot.....
