Not exactly a loss. It simply was turned down because it was brought on prematurely (like all of bill 35). It does not preclude another action being brought about later.
I’d agree with the last comment. Many of those people aren’t speaking up because their employers/landlords are STR owners. But thanks to council for taking this stand, even if you’re getting sworn at in meetings!
They aren’t though, council keeps leaning on these mysterious folks that fear reprisals. Every home owner I’ve spoken with is a contributing member of the community who is fine with people speaking their mind. Opting in to this legislation will create no affordable housing or lower housing prices. I’m a not a home owner either.
8:20 am There are though, because I am one. I'm sure homeowners are find with people speaking out, but would you if your employer was one of the people pushing hard for VRs?

Do you think the politicians are influencing the courts? Maybe best to ask Jody Wilson-Raybould her thoughts.

There are many in the community that aren't too upset about people with multiple houses not being able to rent them out. Just saying

Some people work hard and intelligently to get ahead financially and some want handouts. That will never change.
Haha right! No one who currently owns a VR got a "handout" from mom and dad!
Operating a commercial enterprise while paying residential taxes is a huge handout. Try working at an honest job.
You can live in your socialist fairy world with the rest of the NDP Army but most of us work for what we have.

That’s right everyone that owns a house has never worked hard, they are just rich trust fund kids, come on don’t be so obtuse.
