I notice that there's a crew inside the Tofino bank tonight, painting the place. I hope the cost of this upgrade doesn't dig too deeply into the bank's meager profits. They might be forced to bring in even more temporary foreign workers who they pay starvation wages to, and then do absolutely nothing to support their own staff in the community.

Blacklock's Reporter has an interesting article today about asylum seekers being housed in hotels in Niagara Falls. Tofino would be wise to get on board with this. Accommodations would be completely full year round, thousands less vehicles would be on the road, thus lowering the carbon footprint, and the town council would be seen as doing their part for humanity. Also, many jobs could be created, such as English as a second language etc. And the best part of all, is the government would pay for it.
Game show Gord is patting himself and his party on the back for all the handouts that are part of the 2023 federal budget. Can he honestly believe that these vote buying measures will help? If he does, why did he vote for the increase in the carbon tax that will that begins April 1? The NDP/Liberals continue to misinform the public that they will receive back more money than they pay, but the Parliamentary Budget Office has shot this down twice now. The real kicker is the amounts it will actually cost households is more than the handouts. And for those who don't qualify for the handouts it is a double gut punch.
Doesn’t Gordo get his big raise tomorrow? And with the additional carbon tax, his expenses for travelling around taking selfies will cost taxpayers more as well.
The Canadian public is like the proverbial frog in the pot of water. They seem to have no idea the water is getting hotter every year and I'm referring to climate change. GDP is in decline. The Liberals care more about optics and symbols than realities. The idea the average person can work and sustain a good standard of living is in the rear view mirror. So sad for what was once recognized as the best place on earth. Replaced by social welfare, drug addiction, increasing urban violence and a complete lack of any notion of self defence. Don't worry about the Chinese CCP influencing things, although they will be ready to move in when the time is ripe. It is all going down hill by the governments own design. Thanks to incompetence an decadence.
Spoke with someone today from eastern Europe. Had Canadian Landed Papers. Did not want to give up an EU passport to get Canadian citizenship. Figured voting was a waste of time as the current government does not have a clue what they are doing. Figured everyone here is obedient to government whereas in the home country nobody trusted government officials. Thought how Trudeau etc. are following the ideas of the world economic forum and things will not end well for the people of this country. Everyone here needs the wake up call of having lived under under more government control than just the covid BS. These carbon taxes are a major reason why there is inflation. The whole concept of being eco and worrying about climate change is for those who have been brainwashed. Anyone who can think will realize it is all a hoax to redistribute income. 3:14 you are absolutely right. 8:18you are right also. The only way out of the the deep hole Trudeau and Jagmeet and Gord are digging us into is to make sure they do not get elected again.
