This is great. A wonderful plan. Get some grants, not enough, but at least we get some grants. As for the rest, just buy it! Borrow the money, go in debt, no big deal, it's only hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars...... no sweat. The sustainability guy thinks it's a good idea, and he should know. After his management of the Cedar Corners project he's got tons of experience in going into debt and spending someone else's money....and that worked out fantastically! And the mayor seems to be in favor of it, so it must be a good idea. I need to go now. I'm broke, but I'm off to Nanaimo to get a new truck, and some new furniture, and a new boat and motor. I'll just finance it all and pay for it "later". No problem. hmmmmmmm I wonder if they'll accept "tax dollars" .....I'm sure they will.

That must have been the "sustainability" guys brother. A mistaken identity, but the perspective is spot on.
Is this worth a tax increase...what about a referendum on any spending over $500000 that is for anything. cheap and easy to do.
