And people thought he would represent this area? Fools. The local electorate has been used to launch him onto the Ottawa gravy train.

Gord Johns :“Where I will be a voice is ensuring that this government doesn’t just see the priority in Vancouver and Toronto for affordable housing and that the needs for affordable housing are affecting even remote, small communities like Tofino and Ucluelet.”

Johns said he recently met with Tofino mayor Josie Osborne and was inspired by her commitment to figure out solutions.

“The mayor is determined to deal with affordable housing,” he said.

Affordable
Housing.
This
issue
is
critical
for
tourist-based
economies
like
1
Parksville
and
Totino,
where
I
served
both
on
Council
and
as
the
Executive
Director
of the
Chamber
of
Commerce.
The
short-sighted
decision
of
the
Conservative
government
to
abolish
the
long-form
census
has
placed
local
governments
at
a distinct
disadvantage
in their
ability
to
understand
the
socio-economic
characteristics
within
their
jurisdiction
and
to
plan
for
the
future.
This
applies
especially
to
the
fulfillment
of
the
right
of
all
Canadians
to
housing.
During
my
seven
years
on
the
Attainable
Housing
Committee
in Totino,
I
came
to
appreciate
affordability
as
a critical
variable
in
attracting
and
retaining
families;
and,
in
supporting
an
aging
population.
An
NOP
government
will:
Push
for
a National
Housing
Strategy
as
Canada
is the
only
GB
country
without
one;
Push
to
recognize
housing
as
a right
of
all
Canadians;
and,
Provide
incentives
to
build
10,000
affordable
and
market
rental
units.

From the Scott Fraser school of socialism.Sell your property at a price that is within the reach of the working class.

The party, the man, the house. Consistent tendency here. Maintenance issues. Basically a dump. A fixer upper at best. Glossed over showy features designed to snow the innocent, while the foundations are unstable.

I am glad to see those on the left embracing capitalism with vigour ! Some of the "Free Lunch and House" crowd would have Mr Johns donate his house to a collective of Trotskyites. Nothing wrong with a little profit !!

9:08, are you saying Mr. Johns underpinnings are rotten to the core? Bravo.

Your quite correct Ralph, "nothing wrong" nothing at all. And while we are at it, "Four legs good, two legs better".
