Premier David Eby announced the government is delaying the PST expansion that was set to hit Oct. 1, just before he called the election. But the tax is only “paused through temporary regulation” so the government is still planning on expanding the PST. And the government’s own numbers say that this tax expansion will cost taxpayers more than $500 million per year.
