Long ago, it was suggested to Gord John's to fill in the area behind the first street dock/wharf and the upland. Mr. Johns replied that he did not want to see any habitat destruction, meaning the inter tidal zone. That would create a fairly good size parking area and rest. Stop for offshore residents. No more long walks to the car.... Elders could easily get a ride up the hill from there or there might be a shuttle.

every street now has no parking signs there is no where to park in this damn town

Back in the day…Keith Gibson said the area could be filled and give parking for offshore much closer to the dock.
