I’m not familiar with the parties involved. If someone is playing authoritarian games is it not the role of all authoritarians to try and diffuse whatever it is that’s being argued about? Escalations are not the answers. It would seem to me that having people on site would keep any problem people away and be able to give warnings to boat owners of bailing pump failures. Putting up fencing is counterintuitive to the situation, solves nothing and could have more vessels taking on water. It is definitely a case of thinking about what the ramifications are going to be before action is taken. What is the reason for the fencing? Aren’t Government docks supposed to remain public? How is the harbour authority going to pay for a private dock rebuild when that time comes along? Closing an office certainly doesn’t allow for open communications and De-escalated resolutions.
Regardless of the circumstances , it is an asshole move to turn off the power in the middle of December. The Harbour has had years to deal with this situation but they waited until now ? That’s just cruel.

There is another story that is going on that is unrelated to the crab dock . It is under a publication ban .
But if they put locked gates on the docks.....then how will Santa deliver the toys to the children? At least they could wait until after Christmas.
Laws are laws can't let people squat because they have lived here for a few years
Squatters are not known for paying their taxes like these folks supposedly have been paying.
what are they paying for sewer, water, and property tax ?
