the notion that someone who disagrees with you and your methods allows you to call them a "racist" is long ago obsolete.
there is only the human race. one human race.

The way to end a conversation is to call some one a racist. It seems the thing to do these days. This is the last position of someone who has no defensible position. Resort to name calling. Emotional bullying is all it is.
In the clip of the zoom meeting I did not hear one coherent argument that explained why the giving of 1% of our water and sewer fees to Tribal Parks was either, a prudent, a good, or necessary thing. The CAO claims to be disappointed in the town. I am disappointed in him. We deserve better than this lame emotionally charged drivel.

A lot of folks want "reconciliation.' but it means something different to every person who uses the term. You have to respect the differences if you are going to end up with something real and lasting. Let's have that discussion. Name calling gets you nowhere.

My letter to council :

, I would like to voice my objection to the proposed TFN water service fee. This amounts to a fourth level of taxation . Taxation without representation.
If the district feels the need for protection of our watersheds , they should put out a request for proposals .
Please vote against this initiative .
Thank you , Ralph Tieleman

Here's my letter to council from Feb 21 :
Please include me as one more voice opposing the adoption of the motion permitting additional charges or fees , of any type, to be added to the costs of the public water supply.

An additional tax on water??
Really?
Who decided that this was a good idea?
Has anyone even checked to see if this is legal?

Please vote against passing this motion on Feb 23.

Oh my "I would like to voice my objection". That is just oozing with racism. It is the perfect cover for white supremacy. Read between the lines. Taxes are a cover for money. Money is all about power. and power is the last solution for white male bigots like you.. It all ties together really well.

And to end it with "please". very subtle. very deceptive. but you can't throw me off the trail. I know a racist when i see one, or when i read one. I know one when i know one. I can find them everywhere.

bizarre statements about the colour of ones skin or that money is this or that white law dee dah seems intellectually juvenile to me.
its all a conspiracy. identifying racists. and white/brown/yellow/black supremacists..anybody who uses money. they are bad relative to the color of their greedy little faces....right?

It was the same thing when people objected to Josie's "transit bus scheme". If you opposed the bus plan, in any manner, that was considered "proof" that you opposed any type of support for local first nations transportation.
I wonder, would using first nations people as pawns in your political ladder climbing plan be considered just another form of "racism". (Josie actually publicly named Tim Curley in her release, using him in her campaign as an example). It was declared that if you opposed her one sided financial plan that meant that you opposed the bus, and opposed inclusion of first nations in the scheme as well.

The elitist piety displayed by a few ideological council members and the CAO on full regal display as they attempt to name call and use demagoguery to bully and cancel those who do not share their pretence in what is happening in our community.

The people on Council have been elected to serve, not to rule.(Taken from a quote by an American politician)
And the administrator Likewise.
This isn't a monarchy quite yet.
