“First we saw Tofino and we were repelled and got out of dodge within the same day and found Ucluelet and have stayed ever since. I don’t know if I would have stayed in Ucluelet after this is developed.”
Classy Jens Heyduck from Ukee.

Yes Jens, Might I suggest that you simply take Route4 Eastbound. Then you won't have to endure Tofino, Ucluelet or anything else in the area the you might find "repelling".
Meanwhile, you might reflect on the idea that both towns are satellite to a thing called "Pacific Rim National Park". More and more visitors are going to come here each year. The towns are going to develop and grow. Demand for residential and commercial space is going to increase. Demand for increased infrastructure will likewise increase. High Speed internet alone will bring an entirely new segment of "work from home" professionals, who will choose to live the west coast lifestyle, while leaving their traditional urban abodes behind. The times they are a'changin', and you might as well get used to the idea.
If you're looking for a quaint, isolated, rustic, quiet and laid back piece of the planet where you can groove on the beauty of nature, without any connections to the 21st century and all of its' nasty trappings....... this probably ain't the place for you. That's how this place was, 50 years ago (And it was indeed beautiful). It's not like that anymore.

Nothing like a 1 day observation to form an opinion. Let the judges leave. Tunnel vision troubadour.

Let's not get too excited, this development is a long way from starting. If or when it does, the build out will be over decades. It is interesting that there is no mention of pricing, will there be any housing priced for the local workforce.?

Sorry to disagree with Jens, Ucluelet will never equal Tofino, as Tofino has the beautiful beaches.

Tofino is quickly becoming douchbag central...all the influx of "progressive" investors as opposed to just people. If you have to Airbnb you can't afford to live here.
