Not sure how you figure it is a joke. We just went through 1 of our driest busiest summers. Never went past stage 1 water restrictions and the district kept us informed on water supply.

Good points. We still need more storage on the Bay St. part of the system though .

I don't get a lot of security in how this water system is being run. For instance, just the fact we have these Stage 1 warnings is a bit of a joke. I say this because so much of Tofino depends on water. We can't expand, build, create or basically do anything until we have a system that can support a town of X amount of people.

I would like to see a new council with new members (the current crop just don't get it) take water seriously. Build a system that can withstand 6 months of no water for 10K people.

Then lets finally do the sewer system..... If you vote for the current council they will build a new city hall before cleaning up the water and sewer issues.

The residents of Tofino settle for such mediocrity. Just look at Anderson, Thicke, Thorogood, Baert, McMaster... Dinosaurs These guys are not going to get you a reliable water system, sewer or a vibrant community. Wavy looking cross walks, over budget construction jobs... A mayor who thinks this is a popularity contest... Get new blood, Please

Sewer system before all pet projects and non local issues. Its BS to worry about the greater issues of the enviro-gang before we finish cleaning up our own "House". Talk is cheap just look at Vancouver. Didn't the boy wonder cure homelessness....nope bike lanes...idiots. Are we to follow?
And as for submissions, talk issues not personal attacks. Be respectful of the service those on council do even if you radically disagree with them.
