Josie Osborne first joined the cabinet in 2020. She was appointed as the Minister of Municipal Affairs on November 26, 2020, shortly after being elected as an MLA. She has served in five different ministries as of August 2026. Then the ministry of land, water and resource stewartship where she Spearheaded the groundwork for building a co-managed land and resource management system with First Nations, fulfilling key commitments under the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act. Next came energy, then health, and now finance. Busy Josie Osborne. In those years, in all those appointments, what has she done for Tofino? for the west coast? for Port Alberni, or Qualicum? for the people she's supposed to represent? Whoops, in the climb to the top she forgot about us. This fiasco of an election is being blamed on Eby. It wasn't only his idea. Who do we all know that's a master at underhanded manipulation of the political system? Remember the bus vote? Josie Osborne was sent to Victoria to do a job. Now, instead of doing her job, she's decided to have an election and feather her own nest. Don't let her get away with it. Vote to hire someone else.
Conservative MP for North Island–Powell River, Aaron Gunn, says he believes David Eby is going to face a very tough challenge against the BC Conservatives in the upcoming provincial snap election.
Aaron Gunn said that he believes Eby is one of the worst Premiers in the history of Canada and that the NDP will do everything they can to avoid having to campaign on their own record
Gunn says that provincial policies on blocking pipelines, SOGI, DRIPA and radical drug decriminalization have weakened BC over the last 10 years and that a strong Canada requires a strong province of British Columbia.
Gunn also confirmed on Ratio'd with Harrison Faulkner that he will be on the ground alongside other Conservative MPs campaigning in British Columbia on behalf of the BC Conservative Party.
As of today, Tofino's taxpayers are paying over $960,000 per year in debt servicing charges on Josie's "hard work". I don't know what she has in store for the rest of B.C. if she's re-elected finance minister. Let's pray we never find out. The District of Tofino is projected to pay $964,741 in annual interest and expenses on debt according to the District of Tofino 2025-2029 Financial Plan Bylaw No. 1353.
Many units of substandard housing with no economic benefit to TOFINO other than slave quarters for low income people, social assistance folks, and people with disabilities. No ownership and no hope the benefits go to catalyst corporation in Vancouver.
