ReplyDeleteTalk about bureaucracy gone mad. None of the positions identified existed five years ago. The Tofino bureaucracy is insane. It cost us millions and accomplishes.....what?
Here is the part of this ridiculous story that irks me the most.....Applicants are forewarned that "municipal housing" is not available. If ever Pierre's reference to the "Gatekeepers" is applicable to housing shortages, Tofino is ground zero. Not only have they not approved any "Market Housing" in........forever, at least since the last ice age. They put over 4 million of tax payer money into the "affordable housing" years ago, that is awaiting "qualified" tenants for the project to be to be complete.
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody understand? guess the district realizes that all this government growth is the only type of development allowed to happen here. When Josie Osborne said no growth is an option she meant for us peons not for the carpet baggers who climb on the political gravy train of Tofino.
