  1. There's always hope. Perhaps Trudeau will decide to come to BC and give his public support to his great friend, Eby.
That would get the Conservatives a solid win.

Folks aren't as dumb as the politicians hope they are, People are being harmed by the policies of the incumbent NDP/Liberal/Woke governments, on all levels. The times they are a'changin'.

  2. "The streets of our country are in turmoil. The universities are filled with students
rebelling and rioting. Communists are seeking to destroy our country. Russia is
threatening us with her might and the Republic is in danger. Yes, danger from within and
without. We need law and order! Yes, without law and order our nation cannot survive. ...
Elect us, and we shall restore law and order."

  3. BC United(formerly provincial Liberals) and BC Conservative are in discussions about working together to defeat the NDP.

Current Polls would give their combined vote a strong majority in the next election.

Lets hope they can work it out for the benefit of all British Columbians.

  4. Sadly, a change of government really only changes the names of the lobbyists and donors in the lineup for the contracts and positions. If you are wealthy enough to be in this group and your party gets in , bonus. For the rest, we’ll continue to work for the bankers via the government and their continuing lies.

  5. Speaking of lobbyists....The BC hotel association was a major driving force in the new vacation rental laws in BC. Was this truly about housing or protecting corporate profits of the hotels? Ralph, any way of finding out how much money the BC hotel association contributed to the NDP in their lobby efforts. Here is a link on their plans

  6. You lot are degrading Ralph's blog. We don't want serious abstract comments.....we want local scandal

How about Josie, our MLA, her department is getting investigated by the auditors for alleged "kickbacks" in awarding gov grants.....this could be juicy. She certainly did not look happy when on screen lately.....Just sayin.

  7. From Canadian Taxpayers Federation:
Spending by municipalities in B.C. is exploding and that’s having big consequences for taxpayers like you.

When your municipality spends your tax-dollars, there’s little to no oversight and accountability.

We’ve seen that time and time again in B.C. Think about the big municipal projects that are costing taxpayers billions of dollars – like the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant which is already more than $3 billion over-budget.

B.C. used to have a municipal watchdog. The Auditor General for Local Governments used to investigate big boondoggles like that. But in 2021, the B.C. NDP shut it down.

When we asked why, the government told us that they eliminated the Auditor General for Local Governments because the municipalities “did not support the office.”

That’s like retiring the farm dog because the fox doesn’t like having him around.

Will you sign our PETITION to bring back accountability to municipalities?

We, the undersigned, call on the premier to establish a robust and effective Municipal Auditor General.
YES – I’ll sign the petition (just click this link to automatically add your name)
No – I’d rather not sign the petition today (feel free to tell us why by clicking this link)
Thanks for fighting for taxpayers. Together we can make a difference.

    Carson Binda, CTF B.C. Director

P.S. When you sign our petitions, you’ll hear from us again on how you can fight against B.C.’s debt dive. Here’s a link to the petition you can share with your friends. https://www.taxpayer.com/petitions/give-b.c.-cities-a-municipal-auditor-general

  8. Eby might be the worst Premier BC has ever had. Johnny boy was way more centerist and reasonable... did a fair to good job during Covid. Now we have financially out to lunch (Biggest Debt and Deficit ever in BC history) Anti Semetic, Big Government, free drugs to addicts, non crtical thinking Just "trust us" Government. And our council led by Marist Dan are drinking as much Koolaid as they can pour. Time for a Big council change before its too late people.
