I'm sure there is an explanation. Duncan may be off the mark with Parks and Rec issue but he's an honest guy and puts in a lot of volunteer time for the District.
Dystopian governments do not usually care for the well-being or safety of their citizens. They focus on complete control and extortion of their people. This is all in order to maintain power.
To my knowledge, no such edict has been issued to Council or staff but of course anonymous may know more than I. Also, I am not embarrassed to put my name to any comment I choose to respond to.
well the point about dystopia is that its just my(jim schwartz) comment. it has nothing to do an edict. it has everything to do with what actually happens. its nice to see some councillors are able to respond to these comments without fear of retribution. tofino, right now, is a dystopian place in my opinion.
Ray, respectfully, it would be nice if you were more concerned about what your constituents thought rather than whether or not you could or should read a blog.
There is a major shit storm and all you see is this comment? weird or what?
$25,000 for a consultant to analyse our roads ? I'll save you some money : Main St is in bad shape.So is Lynn Rd and Chesterman's Beach Rd.Hellesen Drive needs paving as does MacKenzie Beach Rd.Please put the savings towards Parks and Rec.
Noticed that the 2013 parks rec salaries have only gone down 30k with Sally gone. Axe the road consultant and throw in another 5k and our children and families will be taken care of the way they should.
Why did Councillor McMaster claim 6 full days of work for UBCM when the convention is only 4 days ?

ReplyDeleteRe:7:45 P.M
ReplyDeleteUBCM = 4
Workshop = 1
Travel to/from (tofino-victoria)=I
TOTAL = 6 days
September 23,24,25, 26,27,28 = 6 days
Hope that is simple enough arithmetic for you!
Duncan McMaster
Thx Duncan
ReplyDeleteThat would be a fine example of transparency. We, the people, appreciate information.
I thought council was not allowed to look or talk about the blog?
