Isn't all that work the responsibility of the C.A.O.? That's what he (she) gets the big bucks for. OMG, another snout in the trough.
ReplyDeletewonder how long it took the director of corporate services to dream all of this stuff up? That seems to be the job of everyone that gets hired… Then dream up another job description for someone to do their job… And on it goes. We will have 35 people to do five peoples work. Somewhere this needs to stop. it's organizational nonsense and we pay for it. That extra 10% on our taxes this year. This is a good question for the candidates for the next election.
ReplyDeleteHow about a Director of common sense and budget responsibility?
ReplyDelete7:17 AM The mayor gets another term in office unopposed. And seven candidates running for six seats on council. Not exactly taxpayers rising up, saying "enough is enough".
ReplyDeleteWas looking at the Tofino Ratepayers website. They had a chart. 187% increase, for last ten years, in payroll going to jobs earning more than $75,000. They didn't have the balls to name the individuals. The information is from DOT Statements of Financial Information.
ReplyDeleteAlso read recently that 90% of job creation in the last 3 years has been in the government sector. Good to see we are not falling behind here in Tofino........NOT
The DOT has become a massive sinkhole of cash. Time for a change...but wait no one cares.
ReplyDeleteThe new uber class of Tofino's elite.
ReplyDelete5:23 PM Based on the number of council candidates stepping up, think you're right - no one cares. So expect more of the same
ReplyDeleteHow about this guy? He seems like a nice fellow. Let's hire him to organize the district office!! He probably doesn't want the job, but let's hire him anyway. https://www.westerlynews.ca/life/top-chef/
