it would be nice if council waived fees for all of us that contribute to Tofino......

  1. What a joke.
I make tourists happy. People come to Tofino because of me.
I want a break on my fees that I pay to the district too.
If a freaking film company can't afford to cover the district's costs caused by their filming then there is something wrong with their business model.
I want my chamber of commerce money back.

  2. Film Company?? Hey, they might have some money....... let's gouge every possible cent out of them that we possibly get. We certainly don't want to damage Tofino's image as an over-priced, expensive, pricey place that ordinary people can only afford to visit if they happen to win the lotto. Don't give no breaks to nobody, shaft every one of them. Pay parking would be a good idea too.

  3. Tourism Tofino gets annual funding of $700,000 a year....maybe they should be supporting film in Tofino instead of stupid mascots and other misguided campaigns.

  4. like what Ralph said: $700,000 a year should be enough money to do their job right.

  5. The filming that they wanted fees waived for was The Amazing Race.

  7. I think the chamber of commerce should pay for the Amazing Race as it is a show that is seen World Wide and such great advertising for them, maybe even Sandy can make an appearence- might be cheaper than some of the ads. they already produce.
