Latest Poll from 338

Self inflicted wounds seem to be bringing the BC Conservatives down in the polls .

From a Maclean’s magazine article about the guy behind the poll.

“When you build a simulator, you can make it say whatever you want,” he says. “The approach that I had is I wrote basically a video game.”

In the spirit of Tofinomike I searched the internet.

From a McLean magazine article about the guy behind the poll.

So, everyone should believe the results of a video game to provide the election results in advance of the election????

Polls are all garbage to waste everyone’s time on. The only election results that count are those produced at the ballot box.

All advance election polls should be banned as a form of election interference.

Things are great . Real estate speculation has been good to me. I got a big raise and my benefit package is awesome. I have total job security. My TFSA and RRSP are maxxed. I don’t know what all these people are complaining about.

The conservatives haven't even released a costed platform with less than a week to go

The Conservatives could release a statement saying "Duh, we're not really sure what we'll do"..... and they'd have a better economic policy than the NDP.

You must be employed in the D.O.T. office.

We are basically voting for the lesser of the idiots.

I just came from the advanced voting place. Very disappointed, Voted and didn't even get a free crack pipe. Not a mention of any free safe drugs either. Guess I shoulda put my X next to "Osborne".

Let's consider why a party avoids providing specific details in their platform, and are no-shows at debates.

We know a large number of Conservative candidates didn't even show up to debates in their riding, because they know it LOWERS their chances of being voted in. Many of them lack the competence to engage in debates or defend their ideas in a way the public would approve of. Opening their mouths in public is their biggest risk. They know this, and bet that the uneducated vote assumes that they are the same as the Federal Conservative party. This is their main strategy.

Some may vote Conservative because they feel they will be better money managers for this province. But this party has shown they are so disorganized, they don't even have full costed platform announced by the start of the election. There's zero evidence they are going to be capable of managing finances for the better. At this point, when early voting has commenced, people are planning their vote without a clue how this party will spend or cut. THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS FOLKS, AND THEIR DELAYING AND/OR OBSCURING DETAILS IS TELLING.

A party that doesn't have a transparent costed plan announced till the very last minute, is disorganized at best and outright deceitful at worst. This shows that they cannot be trusted to govern and may be hiding their true agenda. And I'd wager that the Conservatives real agenda is to do only whatever their wealthiest corporate donors ask them to do.

Too many idiots risk voting against their own best interests because 'I hate Trudeau', and think outing a progressive provincial government that has done more than any predecessor to serve the people of this province, will somehow fix federal level issues.

People need to be less stupid.

I'm voting for what I think is a commonsense approach as opposed to an idealistic expectation that I have to pay for. it is horribly not working - like now. It works great for your cronies if you're in the government somehow and don't have to pay for the waste of taxpayer dollars used to destroy the concept of democracy and fairness.
if one party or the other is not accustomed to standing up in front of a group of people to display their degree of University erudition doesn't mean they are not capable of governing a large group of diverse people like themselves. Disorganized? No worse than any other government that pretends they know what they're doing.

The NDP has been sitting in power for a number of years. They've had lots and lots of time, at our expense, to fabricate pages and pages of paperwork that shows their version of the truth. They can call it a "costed platform". YOU PAID FOR THIS! It's merely propaganda, produced by the incumbent government at the expense of the taxpayer.
Another example of corruption.

If a Conservative candidate issued such a pile of crap, having never served in office and having only limited time to establish a platform, I'd be inclined to think they were full of sh*t. Instead, they choose to wait and see once they're in a position to actually get the real facts about the situation they'll need to deal with. Glad to see they don't take the bait.

I don't need to hear what the Conservatives "might" do. I'm living in the reality of what the NDP has already done.

We need sober analysis and changes top to bottom.

@11:31 Do you mean providing free drugs , needles and crack pipes ? Free access to vending machines that teach kids how to snort cocaine ? You can keep your “progressive”

I see Josie Osborne signs plastered all over The Common Loaf Bakery. I'll never shop there again! Boycott the place!

If you vote NDP or Green you are, according to one source voting yourself a 20 cent a litre additional carbon tax in January. The BC economy is already at the bottom. Why add to the misery?

If you bring politics into your business you get what you deserve...but we all have opinions and viewpoints which may be construed as fringe. i wont be voting NDP, yet its Eby that is the problem as i see it. i won't be participating in cancel culture. We need to come together more as a community , not encourage divisiveness.

How can we discourage division when UNDRIP gives one group veto power over another based on race . NDP promotes identity politics.
