Here's a link to a feature from The Canadian Taxpayers Federation on the subject of municipal governments and financing. A bit to read but worth the time if you're interested in municipal governance.
Re. Reagan was right.....Just like Trudeau's carbon tax. It causes inflation with no benefits associated. The gov't spends more money.....Have you noticed all the positive changes on account of it.....No?....Neither have I. It just costs more to fuel up...JUSTINflation.
This is a remarkable take even for this blog. Regan’s idea of improving life via Reganomics (supply-side) economics) was for people to consume more in an unregulated environment. This kind of thinking led to two financial crisis and will cause a third before this decade is out. Pity the blogger who has lost track of the number of cars that he owns but still wants the rest of the world to store them for free. He paid for the cars (he says) and for the insurance himself but the damn government owes him a place to store them - a place that must be convenient, always available and most of all free to him.

ReplyDeleteThey'll have it by 2024. It's being planned, just waiting for tofino to look like the bad guys first
Deletemaybe Ukee doesn't spend so much.
ReplyDeleteReagin was right and Right and they shot him.
The DoT could probably make more profit from running Drag Queen summer camps for kids than they do from paid parking. Time to move into the now.
ReplyDeleteThe pay parking initiative is more about punishing car owners and residents than anything else.
