  1. Josie will make a great premier. She was the best mayor Tofino ever had.

  2. Not Osborne. People aren't that stupid. They'd rather elect somebody they can trust.

  4. Mayor Osborne, the worst years in the history of Tofino. Here is my interpretation of events.

No new market housing projects approved, no water system improvements, full time residency shrinks, taxes skyrocket, cost of living in Tofino goes through the roof. Most expensive municipality in the province based on living wage(CBT report) By what metrics do you want to measure this by?

Gives away use of estate lands, land donated to Tofino by oldtimers for park purposes. Betrayal???

Municipal government triples in size without any appreciable benefits to community. Duh

Spends thousands on legal fees for court action against tourist use of Chestermans Beach condo's. Condo owners offer to rezone commercial, offer to pay $400,000 as amenity contribution, and extra $200,000 a year tax increases. She looses court case. While illegal VCR abuses explode all over community and go unchallenged and uninvestigated by Tofino Bylaw. Duh.

Brings in Temporary Use Permits to create instant slums while legitimate housing projects are refused. Duh

Brings in Affordable Housing proposal by giving away millions of dollars worth of taxpayer owned land, giving away future taxes. And local long time residents are refused as tenants. Duh

Turns down project by Coop to increase size of gas tanks at new Gas bar...Just months later Tofino nearly runs out of fuel, panic buying occurs as rock slide and road closures at Kennedy lake prevent fuel deliveries to Tofino. Duh

She brings in a Regional District busing proposal without adequate community consultation, that will put out of business existing privately owned services, that will cost Tofino double what other partners in he region will pay as if we don't pay enough, and thinks it is "progressive". Duh

Turns down invitation to discuss, to even discuss, regional water supply proposals. Duh

    Where do I stop?

Don't worry by the time she is done there are fewer permanent residents to be hurt. So no problem I guess. Duh

  6. To 11:00 Am

Add hundreds of thousands of tax dollars given away in consulting fees to Affordable Housing insiders, without public tender. No wonder the piggy bank is empty.
