Could this have anything to do with the fact that our former mayor and council handed over whatever affordable housing Lands we had to nothing but a long-term rental agency masquerading as an affordable housing entity?. and lest we forget the original housing strategy was going to allow for some ownership, some rental, and some excess for an undetermined future. I certainly don't know where the funding for all the blasting and road building etc. is coming from out by tonquin park. sure hope we aren't paying for it.
The stated goal of the Tofino Housing Corporation was to provide housing for local families. This included some fee simple lots and some with restricted resale conditions.Instead we have this convoluted mess which demonstrates again the corrupt nature of any business that seeks to profit off the misfortune of others.
