I don't know if this is good idea, or not. We need a study to determine if it is or it isn't. Although it's not really my vision of what we might desire for our community, we should all consider whether or not this is a part of our aspirations of what we see in our future. Actually, the entire issue, for me, is a bit overwhelming. Obviously, we'll need to set aside funds to hire consultants to study the plan in greater detail. Staff should be directed to produce a plan for the implementation of this important study.
Interesting our school is alresdy at an elevation that would qualify as a safe zone. Many communities in Washington and Oregon are built on flat coastal planes and have few options. Tofino does. This strikes me as empire building.
