The Westerly News reports that Tofino's Tsunami Sirens will be operational by September.Mayor Fraser previously told CBC Radio that the sirens would be installed earlier this spring......Why was there such a rush to select the location ??
Tofino Council has defeated a motion that would see council meetings moved to the evening. Councilors Zilliken and Johns supported the time change while Ashton,Fraser and Fraser opposed the motion.
There is still an active pothole alert for Main St. by Dave Bond's house.Some TofinoNews readers have also reported potholes on the road to the community center.
