Well, Duncan it doesn't seem that your last "TEAM" came up with any solutions about anything....unless you count unworkable "McMaster Plans", Committees, conference attendance and outside consultancies....the shit is still backing up in the pipes, bud. Enjoy your next four years of undefined and empty pronouncements on affordable housing, reconciliation, higher learning and planter design... Go team go...
Rather than give our elected officials comment from this peanut gallery, you could have run for office yourself and seen under the rules the province sets out, how the universe of civic government must unfold. I for one am thankful we have a bunch of dedicated people willing to spend their time working for us.
Anon 11:25 - normally anonymous name-calling is kinda sad, but you may have nailed it. Pippi Longstocking was known as being a serious ass-kicker. Can YOU lift a horse?
Can't say that I know Greg Blanchette very well but I must say it concerns me just a bit when soneone with a blog site named Aimless 1 is going to be on council. We have enough aimlessness going on! Just being cool, aimless and artistic may not be the best qualification for running Tough City. Hope it all works out anyway. Best of luck for the new council!
So sad, but I now understand why Tofino is the way it is...
If voters actually took time out to see how staff has continued to grow (&wages), Sally Mole firing and the incredible amounts paid for consultants and legal fees fighting useless cases.
Well, I guess i need to wake up and acknowledge the voters have said they support these actions

Democracy in action !! Greg will represent the Poolies and Chestermans Beachers equally well !
Truly a banner day for Tofino politics.
Oh, Noooooooooooooooooo!
Cameron clown gone...
Blanchette clown in
Thicke, Anderson, Baert, Blanchette....all led by Mayor Pippi Longstocking....God help you Tofino
Agreed. Thorogood and McMaster will likely have nervous breakdowns trying to work with that lot.
Hopefully that's not true. My experience tells me that the best solutions come from a team that has different opinions.
I'm sure things will proceed in a co-operative manner . Like him or not Greg campaigned like he wanted the job .

A mere one third of Tofino's eligible voters actually did vote....sad, very sad...
